Strangewaves 5: Mother Nature
Thank you to our sponsors
The 2019 festival edition is titled Mother Nature. The maternal, nurturing aspects of Mother Nature are vital to Strangewaves, a festival that celebrates femme-identifying and non-binary artists, as well as believes strongly in the need to acknowledge the origins of the land we inhabit, specifically in a way that directly recognizes the traditional Indigenous territory of the Haudenosaunee & Mississaugas of the New Credit Territory, on which we hold the festival.
We welcome you to set up camp over the weekend. The campgrounds are a grassy field with limited tree coverage. This is a rain or shine event, so feel free to bring extra shade/shelter.
Food options will be available for purchase provided by Strangegrill. Additionally, Dosha Corner will be selling South Indian food all weekend and Stuffed Perogy will be present on Saturday.
The outdoor stage area is shaded with a large tent. Bring your own seating and blankets, or just lay in the grass! The music moves indoors at a building on-site by 11pm.
Cars will stay in the designated parking area, no driving up to your tent site (exceptions for accessibility).
