Is Strangewaves all ages? How much for a child pass?

Yes, but all minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Passes for children are free.

Is the festival site accesible?

The Paris Fairgrounds have a mixed terrain, making it partially wheelchair accessible. There will be wheelchair accessible washrooms on site.

How much will it be at the gate?

$150 for the weekend, day pass pricing tba.

Can I buy a pass without camping?

Sorry, we are unable to offer discounted passes without camping. Your pass fees go directly to the cost of site rental and programming! If you’d like to attend the fest but are low on funds, check out our volunteer opportunities.

Festivals make me anxious! I don’t like crowds, what is Strangewaves like?

The word “festival” can make us shudder too! Strangewaves is a small, community event, where positivity and inclusion are the mantra. The festival happens on a large fairgrounds, with lots of space to find alone time and escape the small crowd, if needed.

Is outside alcohol allowed?

Yes but alcohol must be kept within tent. NO alcohol containers are permitted outside of your tent. ;)

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, well behaved and leashed pups are welcome! Please be courteous of people who may be skittish of dogs.

What’s the washroom situation?

There will be multiple porta-potties at the camping/main stage area. There are also indoor washrooms about a 10 minute walk from the camping/stage area, which is where the festival migrates past 11pm.

Is there anywhere to shower?

There is also a small shower area within the indoor washrooms!

Are camp fires allowed?

Unfortunately fires are not allowed at the Paris Fairgrounds. We are sad too, but them’s the rules! Small camping grills are permitted for cooking food.

is there any electricity?

At the campground? Hell no! Indoors? Yes!

How late does the music go?

The outdoor portion of the music goes no later than 11pm. Music will then move indoors until 2:00 am. Please be mindful of our neighbours and keep outdoor noise to a minimum after 11pm to avoid the wrath of local enforcement.

What is the food situation?

This year we’ve revved up the food options at the fest with an option to include a meal plan with your pass. Strange Kitchen will be serving breakfast, snacks and dinner options; meat, vegetarian and vegan friendly options, of course! Stay tuned for details on pre-purchasing a meal plan for the fest.

How are you making your attendees feel safe?

There will be a designated safety tent at the festival throughout the weekend, with volunteers on hand to help. Persons trained in first-aid and Naloxone will be present in case of emergency. It will also be a place to chill and talk to someone if that’s something you feel like you need!
